WHAT
IS AOELUS
Aoelus:
Totem of Wisdom
Fog (Aeolus)
Totem cost: 5
Quiet and mysterious, Aeolus gives his children the ability to hide, sneak and conceal. Fog hides many secrets in his murky interior. Fog teaches his Garou the value of patience and subtlety. The children of Fog gain an additional level of subterfuge and stealth and a -1 to difficulties involving Occult and Enigmas. The Garou also gain the gift: Curse of Aeolus.
This totem is favored by Uktena, Ragabash and Stargazers.
BAN: If a child of Aeolus reveals a secret to someone outside his sept, he loses one Willpower point permanently

GIFT:
Curse of Aeolus (Level Two)
The Garou summons an eerie, chilling fog to shroud the landscape, unnerving her enemies. The Garou can see through the fog, but others will have trouble navigating the mists. This gift is taught by a spirit servant of Aeolus, a totem spirit.
SYSTEM: The Garou rolls Gnosis against a variable difficulty (4 near the sea, 6 normally, 9 in a desert). The Garou's vision is unhindered by the mist, but all others halve their Perception rolls. Additionaly, the mist is creepy and unnerving to enemies; -1 to Willpower rolls.

For our gaming group we have used the improper spelling of "Aoelus" to represent "FOG".

Here I have used the Spiral Black Dancers pictograph in the creation of our pack symbol. I have (now that I look at it, I realize that I didn't reverse the direction of the spiral as I had planned, Oh well), used the spiral to represent our hatred of those that have turned to the wyrm and use it to spiral back out to Gaia. Whether they come back through the Right of Cleansing or by a good Fur Gnarl is up to them. At the top of the spiral is a claw that represents our connection to the Garou nation and our acceptance that we are the warriors and protectorates of Gaia. The three slashes two going left and one to the right represent the obscuring fog of Aoelus.
